Been to Pattaya City twice now, first time was in January 1999, then back at Songkran 2009. What a awesome holiday spot! It caters for everybody: if your looking for social locals there is masses of them, if your looking for solid thai food there is a great deal and night life is excellent. If you want a low-cost vacation, you can have it – if you desire a pricy vacation, you can have it as well. My girlfriend is totally in love with the place and has just bought into a hotel over there. My kids love it as well. What a great place to celebrate Songkran!
